Elementary
school students can take advantage of special
programs for gifted and talented students, as
well as a computer lab, a full range of music
programs including band for fifth and sixth
graders, and special programs such as Super
Reader. |
Beyond any
academic program, Knightstown Elementary School
encourages parental involvement, and provides an
environment that allows parents to build
relationships with the faculty and staff. |
Though small
compared to urban and suburban schools,
Knightstown High School gives students
opportunities to excel. In 2000, 76 students
graduated from Knightstown High School, with
over $300,000.00 dollars given in scholarships. |
A new chapter
has opened for Knightstown Junior/Senior High
School. Ground was broken in the Fall, 2001 for
construction of a new high school which
graduated its first class during the 2003-2004
school year. The new Knightstown High School
includes state of the art facilities, a six
hundred seat auditorium, and room for expansion. |
And while
Knightstown isn't a college town, many major
universities are less than an hour away,
including Indiana University Purdue University
Indianapolis, Anderson University, Ball State
University, Indiana University East, and Earlham
College. |
