    TUESDAY, JUNE 1 - Citizen of the Year Contest

    ** The Knightstown Chamber of Commerce 2010 Citizen of the Year contest, part of the Jubilee Days event, will be held at the Hoosier Gym.

 

    WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2 - start of 2010 Jubilee Days

    ** Jubilee Days kicks off with rides, food and fun on the Knightstown Town Square and the annual Jubilee Days Queen and Princess Contest later in the evening at the Hoosier Gym.

 

    THURSDAY, JUNE 3 - more 2010 Jubilee Days

    ** Jubilee Days continues with rides, food and fun on the Knightstown Town Square.

 

    FRIDAY, JUNE 4 - more 2010 Jubilee Days

    ** Jubilee Days continues with rides, food and fun on the Knightstown Town Square. At 6 p.m., the 5th Annual Hoosier Reunion All-Star Classic basketball double-header will take place at the Hoosier Gym.

 

    SATURDAY, JUNE 5 - more 2010 Jubilee Days

    ** The final day of Jubilee Days will feature several events including the parade down Main Street at 1 p.m. Rides, food and fun on the Knightstown Town Square all day. Check the Jubilee Days page for more info.

 

    WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9 - Knightstown Lunch & Learn Series

    ** The Bingham McHale Labor & Employment Department invites you to attend the June briefing, "NAVIGATING THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE OF EMPLOYEE LEAVE: The FMLA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation." Please join us from 12-1 p.m. at the Hoosier Gym, 355 N. Washington St. in Knightstown for lunch and networking as we discuss key elements of the ADA, FMLA, Workers Compensation and how they are intertwined. Please RSVP by June 7.     SATURDAY, JUNE 12 - Historic Knightstown Walking Tour

    ** The Knightstown Chamber of Commerce and Historic Knightstown, Inc. are teaming up again for a third year to provide a beautiful, peaceful walk through our town to showcase the excellent architecture of our historic homes, churches and businesses.

Also on the tour is the Garden of Memories Veteran’s Memorial, the Historic Knightstown Museum and the famous Hoosier Gym where the movie "Hoosiers" was filmed. One historic home will be open to tour along with the Knightstown Academy and Cobalt Blue Press. A guided tour of Glen Cove Cemetery will begin at 2 p.m.

Walkers must register between 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on the town square (US 40 & North Washington St.) to pick up their map. In the event of rain, the tour will be canceled with no rain date set.

    JULY 2010  

 

    THURSDAY, JULY 1 - Chamber monthly meeting

    ** Board meets at 5:45 p.m. with regular meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Hoosier Gym classroom (Adams Street entrance). All members are encouraged to attend and participate in making decisions to improve and support our community. Those interested in joining the Chamber are also welcome.
